Online orders are processed by reseller FastSpring. When you place an online order, FastSpring needs to know your name, company name, email address, phone number and payment details. After completing your order, FastSpring will share all forementioned information with us, with the exception of your payment details. We will never know your payment details.
Our reseller FastSpring uses a secure server. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it is sent to them. The customer data and orders FastSpring collects are protected against unauthorized access.
We occasionally email persons on our mailing list to notify them about new Ventura updates and upgrades. This list will never be sold, traded, or rented to others. When you place an order, we automatically add you on this list. You can request removal from this list by clicking on the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of the Email you received from us.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. We may provide aggregate statistics about our customers, sales, traffic patterns, and related site information to reputable third-parties, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information. We may release account information to (a) comply with law, (b) enforce or apply the terms of any of our user agreements or (c) protect the rights, property or safety of our company, our users, or others.
The "Ventura UWP Demo" application in the Windows Store does not store or collect any personal information.
Ventura SQL Studio is the program used to define recordsets and generate source code. Upon program startup, it will contact the venturatools.com website and check if there is a program update available. The request transmitted to the server contains a) The program version number, b) The product key (if any) used to activate the program, c) A 16-byte machine hash that is unique to the computer. This information is stored in our database. We use this information to create usage statistics, and detect license abuse. When you are using a trial version, the product key is anonymous. A purchased product key is linked to a person name and/or a company name.
